    Lansing Public Schools has a posting for a full-time school psychologist:

    The Lansing School District accepts on-line applications only. Applicants are to submit a (1) Complete and detailed LSD Application (educational background, specialized/technical training, work experience, most recent performance evaluations), (2) Resume, (3) Cover Letter, (4) Letters of Recommendation, (5) Seniority Date, if applicant is an LSD bargaining unit member.

    Position: School Psychologist

    Starting Date: ASAP

    Work Days per Week: 5 days

    Hours per Day: 7 hours per day (minimum 35 hours per week)

    Salary: Per appropriate placement on the LSEA master agreement salary schedule

    Bargaining Unit: LSEA

    Qualifications Required:

    1. State approval as a school psychologist with at least a Master’s Degree

    2. Experience as a school psychologist preferred

    3. Willing and available to work in multiple buildings, elementary and secondary, as needed

    4. Knowledge of RTI (Response To Intervention)

    5. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with students, parents, staff and community agencies

    6. Training in or willingness to be trained in CPI and its implementation

    7. Evidence of strong and varied personal and professional characteristics

    Responsibilities (including but not limited to:

    1. Evaluate general education student being referred for special education services in a timely fashion

    2. Re-evaluate special education students

    3. Explain evaluation results to parents and staff

    4. Consult with staff and parents

    5. Participate in IEPC meeting MDRs (Manifestation Determination Reviews)

    6. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams, as well as acting as MET representative when assigned

    7. Participate in staff development, in-service meetings, parent education and information meetings as requested

    8. Assist staff in the development and implementation of behavioral plans

    9. Participate in weekly screenings

    10. Other related duties as assigned by the Special Education Administrator
